FRANK Gallery’s August exhibition brings layers of vibrant colors and rich textures to the spotlight. Special guest Lynn Bregman Blass of Asheville joins FRANK artists Peg Bachenheimer, Mirinda Kossoff, and Emily Lees for a harmonious mix of mixed media, painting, ceramics and jewelry. This highly skilled group of artists present a unique opportunity for art collectors and novices alike to view and explore some of the finest local and regional talent.

Celebrate the new show as a part of the 2nd Friday ArtWalk with refreshments and music from Alison Weiner of Mahalo Jazz.

Chapel Hill visual artist Sara Reynolds explores intuitive mark-making that covers a plethora of techniques, ideas and intentions. By experimenting with mediums such as charcoal, ink, paint, mixed media and sculptural materials, she allows herself to cover a vast range of compositions which evolve organically throughout her work. Her biggest interests come from challenging ideas and preconceived notions of what art is and can be.

Glass Artist Jennifer Strickland

Meet Fused Glass Artist, Jennifer Strickland on Friday, August 11 for the 2nd Friday ArtWalk. Her pieces are composed of cut, crushed and powdered glass that is then fused in a kiln to create a solid piece. Jennifer then takes her finished pieces and incorporates them into a wide range of unique pieces.

Stop by the Carrboro Town Hall for the opening reception of the Town Hall’s curated exhibit featuring Onicas Gaddis, Dawn Hummer, Karin Neuvirth, Melanie See and Nancy Smith. The exhibit will be on display now through October. This is the first of four quarterly exhibitions curated by Heather Gerni through the partnership between The ArtsCenter and the Town of Carrboro.
