Pleiades Gallery in Durham presents “WATERMARK – A Solo Exhibit by Dawn Hummer.” Weaving is prominent in her work. Hummer combines many traditional methods of handwork from other cultures, resulting in a contemporary interpretation of dimensional texture. The pieces in this collection represent a broad spectrum of artful plays on the organic spirit and mystical voice of water and its influence over Hummer’s lifetime. Also on view is “FREESTYLE.” Who knows what will happen when member artists respond to this boundless concept?
