If you missed the First Friday Art Walk in Raleigh, we have a few photos from galleries like Artspace, Lump and VAE Raleigh.

VAE featured a new exhibition in the Main Gallery called “Pet the Zoo,” which was described as a “sanctuary for the animals created by artists to exist to be petted, fed and cared for by the general public as they stay still in their hay-filled domain.”

Lump offered “The Lovers,” which “draws on speculative fiction, the tarot, theories of possible worlds, epistemology, and feminism to explore questions surrounding love and desire.”

The 2018 version of  Artspace‘s annual juried show “Fresh” opened, with the goal to “demystify the process about what goes into the making of an exhibition.” More than 200 artists applied for the exhibition.

Artspace also showcased new work by PNC Pop In Artist in Residence Debbie Quick and her figurative sculptures.
